The Berkshire County District Attorney’s office has revealed the identity of the man who was fatally shot while sitting in his car on Tuesday night in Pittsfield. The victim has been named as 38-year-old Ryan P. Babcock.
According to reports, police were alerted to a man with possible gunshot wounds on Fenn Street at approximately 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Upon arrival, an officer discovered Babcock unresponsive in the driver’s seat of a vehicle, with what appeared to be gunshot wounds, the district attorney’s office confirmed in a statement.
Despite efforts from paramedics to save his life, Babcock, who resided in Pittsfield, was pronounced dead at the scene.
