First responders made a grim discovery in a Lexington reservoir late Wednesday night, as they successfully recovered the body of a missing individual.
The search and rescue operation commenced before 10 p.m. following reports of an individual submerging in the reservoir and failing to resurface, as confirmed by Major Derek Roberts of the Lexington Fire Department.
The deceased has been identified as 76-year-old Ronald E. Logan from Lexington, according to Fayette County Coroner Gary Ginn.
Members of the Lexington Fire Department Search and Rescue Unit located Mr. Logan following extensive search efforts.
The coroner has ruled Mr. Logan’s death as an accidental drowning.
