The Lawrence, Kansas, Police Department is currently conducting an investigation following the tragic death of a 17-year-old who succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds in the early hours of Thursday morning.
Authorities were alerted to the incident and promptly responded to a residence located in the 2400 block of Alabama Street at approximately 1:15 a.m. on Thursday. Upon their arrival, they discovered the teenager in critical condition, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Immediate lifesaving measures were initiated as the victim was swiftly transported to a nearby hospital, but unfortunately, he later passed away.
During the emergency response, a gathering of family members and witnesses congregated at the scene, prompting investigators to engage with them in an effort to uncover more details surrounding the tragic event.
At present, no arrests have been made in connection to the case. The deceased has been identified as 17-year-old Isaiah Neal.
