Accident – Death – Obituary News :

A heartbreaking incident unfolded in Hopkins, Minnesota, as a 4-year-old autistic boy, Waeys Mohamed, was tragically found dead in a nearby creek after wandering away from his apartment.

During a press conference held at the Hopkins Fire Department, Police Captain Craig Kreiling addressed a crowd of over 100 community members and confirmed the devastating news.

While initial investigations suggest that the boy’s death was a result of accidental drowning, authorities are committed to conducting a thorough examination to ascertain the exact cause of his passing.

Waeys went missing on a Sunday morning after he wandered off from his residence. After an extensive search effort, his lifeless body was discovered in the Minnehaha Creek approximately 500 yards away from his apartment the following day.

Captain Kreiling shared, “We have evidence indicating that Waeys left his apartment building of his own volition. At this juncture, there is no basis to assign blame to anyone else. This is an incredibly tragic accident based on our preliminary findings.”

In a show of solidarity and support, family friends have initiated a GoFundMe campaign to assist Waeys’ family in covering the expenses associated with his funeral arrangements.
