SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – A tragic incident unfolded in the early hours of Wednesday morning as emergency crews responded to a motorcycle crash on E. Benson Road at its intersection with N. Sycamore Ave. The crash scene revealed the lifeless body of a 35-year-old Valley Springs man.
The fatal crash occurred around 1 a.m. on June 12, with reports indicating that the motorcycle was travelling southbound on Sycamore when it failed to negotiate the intersection with E. Benson Road, ultimately colliding with a parked car. Investigators believe that speed played a significant role in the tragic outcome of the crash.
Authorities have identified the deceased motorcyclist as a resident of the Valley Springs area, however, his name has been withheld pending notification of his family members. The use of safety equipment, including a helmet, is currently under investigation as part of the ongoing inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
