Harris for a shocking act of abuse towards a detainee. The incident, which took place at the Pearl police department, involved Green forcing the detainee to lick his own urine from the floor of a holding cell.
Green, aged 26, pleaded guilty on March 14 to acting under the color of law to deprive a person of their civil rights. The court documents reveal that the disturbing incident occurred after Green responded to a disturbance at a Sam’s Club on December 23, 2023, and arrested a man identified as B.E.
Security footage from the holding cell shows B.E. attempting to communicate his need to urinate to Green. When B.E. urinated in a corner after receiving no response, Green reacted by threatening to beat the detainee with a phone and commanding him to lick up the urine.
During the court proceedings, it was revealed that Green stood in the doorway of the holding cell and ordered B.E. to get on the ground and “suck it up.” Green proceeded to film the detainee with his phone as B.E. complied with the humiliating demand.
Court documents further detail that B.E. gagged multiple times during the distressing act, with Green instructing him not to spit it out and to drink his own urine. The incident came to light over the Christmas weekend, leading to an internal investigation by the city of Pearl and Green’s subsequent termination on December 27, 2023.
