– Tragic ATV crash claims lives of two Oshkosh kids in Winnebago County.

UTICA – A devastating accident in Utica has left the community mourning the loss of two young lives. The passenger of an ATV that collided with a car on Bonnie View Road near State 44 on Tuesday afternoon has tragically passed away, a day after the crash claimed the life of the driver at the scene.
The victims have been identified as 11-year-old Mesa Fredenhaden and 7-year-old Kennedi Harris, both from Oshkosh, according to a news release from the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office.
The driver of the car has been identified as a 43-year-old woman from Oshkosh who was traveling with her 13-year-old son as a passenger. The woman sustained minor injuries in the crash.
Following the collision, the woman immediately called 911 and began to render first aid to the victims along with her son.
The tragic incident occurred around 12:41 p.m. on Tuesday. First responders arrived at the scene to find the two occupants of the ATV with severe injuries, and despite their efforts to save them, one of the occupants passed away at the scene while the other was rushed to a local hospital but unfortunately succumbed to their injuries.
No further details have been released at this time, as the community comes together to support the families affected by this heartbreaking tragedy.
