Accident – Death – Obituary News :

Detectives from the Metro Nashville Police Department have successfully apprehended a suspect accused of stealing nearly $10,000 from an individual who had recently sold a truck in the Capitol View area in early May.

Details of the Incident

According to the arrest affidavit, the victim had agreed to sell their truck to two men and had met them on the night of May 7 to finalize the transaction. Once the agreed-upon amount of $9,800 and a laser product were handed over to the victim, one of the buyers, identified as 35-year-old Jacob Williams, offered to give the victim a ride back home.

However, instead of heading straight back, Williams made several stops in East Nashville and Madison, including a trailer park. At one point, another individual entered the vehicle and sat in the back seat, prompting the victim to request a return to the original meeting location.

Armed Robbery

Upon reaching 2902 Jones Avenue, Williams and the other individual brandished firearms and demanded the money from the truck sale. Subsequently, the victim handed over the $9,800, and both suspects confiscated the victim’s cell phone before ejecting him from the vehicle.

Arrest and Charges

Following the incident, the victim positively identified Jacob Williams in a photo lineup, leading to his arrest on June 11. Williams now faces charges of aggravated robbery with a weapon.
