Accident – Death – Obituary News :

Sunbury police were kept on their toes on Monday afternoon as they responded to a series of incidents, including two shootings and two drug cases, all within a span of about two hours.

The first incident occurred around 11:30am when officers received a call about a domestic dispute on Arch Street. Upon arrival, a drug search was initiated at the location, with charges pending as a result.

Shortly after 1pm, a child abduction was reported on Julia Street. Fortunately, the child was located soon after, but a subsequent drug search led to pending charges in that case as well.

At 1:22pm, police responded to a disturbance at Memorial Acres after a handgun was reportedly brandished during a dispute. Charges are expected to be filed in connection with this incident.

Not long after, shots were fired at a property on North Eighth Street following an argument that escalated. Thankfully, no injuries were reported, and an investigation into the shooting is currently underway.

These incidents come on the heels of a high-speed pursuit that took place on Friday, during which a suspect, identified as 51-year-old Thomas Donfrancesco, evaded police at dangerously high speeds. Donfrancesco is now facing a number of felony charges in connection with the incident.

Despite the dramatic events, there were no reported injuries in any of the incidents that Sunbury police responded to on Monday.
