Authorities in Columbus apprehended a woman from Green Bay over the weekend following a high-speed chase with law enforcement. The incident unfolded around 3:29pm on Saturday when an officer tried to pull over a vehicle for a traffic violation on Dix Street. However, instead of stopping, the suspect vehicle accelerated, leading to a pursuit.

Upon running the license plates, officers discovered that the vehicle was registered to a rental car company. Eventually, the woman, identified as Tashina Papish, was located in a backyard in the 700 block of South Lewis Street and taken into custody without any resistance.

Tashina Papish, a 20-year-old, is now facing charges of felony Fleeing and Operating a Vehicle under the Influence of a Restricted Controlled Substance. In addition to these serious charges, she will also be issued multiple traffic citations.
