PHILADELPHIA, PA— Urgent Appeal for Public Assistance in Identifying Suspect Involved in Series of Armed Robberies

The East Detective Division of the Philadelphia Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying and locating a suspect responsible for multiple armed robberies targeting commercial establishments.

Incident #1: Restaurant Robbery on May 24, 2024

On the evening of May 24, 2024, a restaurant on the 400 block of W. Girard Avenue in the 26th District was the scene of a terrifying armed robbery. A 39-year-old female employee recounted the harrowing experience of a male offender leaping over the counter, brandishing a firearm, and demanding money. Despite the threat of violence, the suspect fled on foot before police arrived, leaving the employee shaken but unharmed.

Incident #2: Business Robbery on May 29, 2024

Just a few days later, on May 29, 2024, the same suspect struck again, this time on the 2700 block of E. Clearfield Street. Entering a business, he presented an online order to the cashier before revealing a firearm and coercing employees and customers to the back of the store. After robbing individuals of their belongings, an altercation allowed for an escape and the suspect fled with cash and personal items.

The Philadelphia Police Department has released surveillance images and descriptions of the suspect from both incidents. Anyone with information is urged to contact the East Detective Division. Capturing this armed and dangerous individual is crucial to preventing further incidents and ensuring community safety.
