Two students of the Federal Polytechnic, Bida, in Niger State, have been tragically found dead in a room at the FMC Quarters in Bida town. The bodies of the students, identified as Mr Bam and a female student named Aisha, were discovered on Sunday morning after they were reported missing.
Reports suggest that the students may have ingested poisonous food, which led to their untimely demise. The Niger State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Wasiu Abiodun, confirmed the incident on Monday, stating that the DPO of B Division, Bida, led police operatives to the scene.
Upon entering the room, the bodies of Mr Bam and Aisha were found lying on the floor in the sitting room. Investigators also found leftover food and tablets at the scene, which have been taken for medical analysis. Despite no signs of struggle or violence, the corpses were taken to FMC Bida for autopsy as the investigation continues.
