The troopers arrested Miya’s 49-year-old grandmother, Billie J. (Rudd) Smith, on assault and domestic violence warrants related to incidents in October 2023. Timothy L. Roach, 37, was also arrested on charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance and Prescription Controlled Substance Not in Proper Container. However, his connection to Miya Tucker or her family remains unclear.

Miya’s grandmother, Billie J. (Rudd) Smith, has been held in the Ohio Country Detention Center on a $25,000 bond. Kentucky State Police are actively continuing the search for the missing child following the arrests of her parents, Cage C. Rudd and Tesla Tucker, in Ohio County.

During the investigation, a search warrant and welfare check were conducted, leading to the arrests of Miya’s mother, Tesla Tucker, and father, Cage Rudd. Tesla Tucker, 29, was charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, engaging in organized crime, and abandonment of a minor. Cage Rudd, 30, faced similar charges and both were detained at Daviess County Detention Center in Owensboro.

Additionally, a third individual living with the family, 56-year-old Ricky Smith, was also arrested on drug and gun charges, as well as child abuse. Further charges have been filed against Miya’s parents, with Tesla Tucker facing charges of drug trafficking of marijuana and methamphetamine, as well as first-degree child abuse. Cage Rudd was charged with trafficking in controlled substances and child abuse.

Ricky Smith, Miya’s grandfather, received multiple charges including trafficking in controlled substances, child abuse, abandonment of a minor, engaging in organized crime, and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon. The trio was scheduled to appear in Ohio County District Court in Hartford.

Miya Tucker, with brown hair and green eyes, was last suspected to be in the care of her parents, Tesla Tucker and Cage C. Rudd. However, the 8-month-old could not be found during the welfare check. Locals in Reynolds Station have joined the search for Miya Tucker, with reports of issues with Rudd and Tesla Tucker involving reckless driving in the area.
