The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) is currently conducting an investigation into a tragic fatal shooting that took place on the 9th of June on the 800 block of Underwood Street, NW.
According to official MPD reports, officers were called to the scene following reports of gunshots being heard. Upon arrival, they discovered a male individual with gunshot wounds, who unfortunately succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
The victim has been identified as Kaan Demir, a 28-year-old male.
In an effort to bring the perpetrators of this heinous crime to justice, the MPD is offering a reward to anyone who can provide information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the individual or individuals responsible for each homicide in the District.
