Reports indicate that the authorities received a distress call regarding gunshots at the Little Creek Apartments around 1:30 a.m. Upon reaching the scene, law enforcement officers were met with a large crowd that they had to disperse. During the process of managing the crowd, it was discovered that a shooting had taken place, indicating that the incident was not a random act of violence.
Two victims were found to have been shot during the incident, with one of them succumbing to their injuries. The deceased individual has been identified as Jahyeim Davis, a 23-year-old man from Seaford, who was found behind a building with gunshot wounds. Despite being rushed to a hospital, Davis tragically lost his life due to the severity of his injuries. The second victim, a 26-year-old man, managed to drive himself to a nearby hospital where he is currently in stable condition after sustaining a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
