In a bizarre turn of events, a wanted woman managed to escape from a Nashville hospital after being discharged, only to be discovered hiding in a vehicle in the hospital’s parking lot shortly after, officials have confirmed.

Police Intervention at Southern Hills Hospital

The incident took place on Sunday, June 9, when authorities were alerted to the presence of a woman with outstanding warrants at Southern Hills Hospital in Nashville.

Upon her discharge, the woman, identified as 22-year-old Felisha Whitefield, attempted to flee the hospital but was apprehended by security at the exit. Despite being escorted back to her room, Whitefield made a second escape attempt, successfully making it outside and into the hospital’s parking lot.

Discovery in the Parking Lot

Law enforcement officers conducted a thorough search of the parking lot and eventually located Whitefield hiding in an unlocked vehicle that did not belong to her. She was found crouched down in the passenger seat, attempting to evade capture.

Despite her efforts to resist arrest, Whitefield was eventually taken back into custody and now faces a series of charges, including escape of a penal institution, theft of identity, burglary of a motor vehicle, and resisting arrest.
