Man charged with homicide, apprehended by Winston-Salem PD and federal agents

Accident – Death – Obituary News : A suspect has been apprehended in connection with a tragic murder in the Triad region, as confirmed by the authorities of the Winston-Salem Police Department. Upon arrival at the scene, law enforcement officers discovered one victim, later identified as 33-year-old Daron Bines Jr., who had sustained a gunshot wound. Subsequently, the victim was rushed to a nearby hospital for urgent medical attention but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.
Following a thorough investigation, the WSPD’s SWAT Team, in collaboration with the United States Marshals Service, took Matthew Peterson into custody in connection with the untimely demise of Bines. Peterson is facing serious charges, including felony firearm possession by a felon, felony discharge of a firearm into an occupied vehicle, and felony murder.
