Accident – Death – Obituary News :
A student at Elsie Allen High School in Santa Rosa was taken to the hospital last week following an attack by two other students, according to the Santa Rosa Police Department. The incident, which took place on June 7 at around noon, resulted in minor injuries to the victim, who was later identified as a 16-year-old male.
Police were alerted to the assault after a video of the incident was anonymously sent to a school administrator. Upon arriving at the scene at 599 Bellevue Ave., officers found the victim with injuries to his face and in pain. He was subsequently taken to the hospital by his parents for treatment.
Arrests Made in Connection with Assault
The two suspects involved in the attack, both 17-year-olds, were later identified and arrested by the police. The assailants allegedly targeted the victim in a school bathroom, where they physically assaulted him and stole his belt. Investigators suspect that the assault may have been gang-related, as clothing and other items associated with criminal gangs were discovered at the suspects’ homes.
Following the incident, search warrants were executed at the suspects’ residences on the 100 block of Gio Drive and the 100 block of Bellevue Avenue. The suspects were subsequently charged with multiple offences, including felony robbery, misdemeanor battery, and felony participation in a criminal street gang with an enhancement of promoting/assisting a criminal street gang.
The Santa Rosa Police Department is continuing to investigate the incident and is working closely with school officials to ensure the safety and well-being of students at Elsie Allen High School. Anyone with information related to the assault is encouraged to come forward and assist in the ongoing investigation.
