Accident – Death – Obituary News :

Court documents have revealed that the individual accused of the fatal shooting of 17-year-old Sabrie Pierce in Chester has been named as Abdullah N. Muslim, aged 17. Chester Police Commissioner Steven Gretsky confirmed the suspect’s identity on Tuesday.

The tragic incident took place during a drug transaction on Sunday evening outside the Wallingford Estates Apartments on Madison Avenue. Pierce, a junior at Chester High School, fell victim to the violence.

While the school district has not confirmed whether Muslim was a student, the suspect has been charged with a range of offenses including second and third-degree murder, robbery, conspiracy, and firearms violations. He is currently being held without bail.

Legal Proceedings

Abdullah N. Muslim is set to appear for a preliminary hearing on June 24 before Magisterial District Judge Wilden H. Davis, as per an online docket sheet. At present, no legal representation has been listed for the accused.

Details from the Affidavit

According to an affidavit of probable cause filed by Chester Detective Ryan Stewart and County Detective Christopher Karr, law enforcement officers responded to reports of a shooting at approximately 8:11 p.m. on Sunday. Upon arrival, they discovered Pierce with multiple gunshot wounds, including injuries to his hip and abdomen.

Despite being swiftly transported to Crozer Chester Medical Center for urgent medical attention, Pierce sadly succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at 9:37 p.m.

A subsequent investigation at the scene of the crime revealed two fired 9 mm casings, an unserialized homemade firearm, and clothing. Surveillance footage captured the sequence of events leading up to the tragic shooting.

Sequence of Events

The footage showed a black Infiniti pulling into the parking lot outside the apartments just before 8 p.m. An individual identified as “Offender #1” exited the vehicle’s rear passenger-side door, followed by Pierce exiting from the rear driver’s side.

Subsequently, “Offender #2,” later identified as Abdullah N. Muslim, approached the vehicle from the wooded area while visibly carrying a firearm. The trio engaged in conversation before the fatal altercation took place.

As the situation escalated, Pierce was seen stepping back from the vehicle before collapsing. The firearm used in the shooting was later recovered at the scene, with casings found to be consistent with Muslim’s positioning during the incident.

Following the shooting, “Offender #1” attempted to assist Pierce while the Infiniti drove away, and Muslim fled the scene on foot. The driver of the vehicle remained seated throughout the ordeal.

Key Witness Testimony

Further statements from the driver of the Infiniti provided crucial insights into the events leading up to the tragedy. The driver revealed that they had been contacted to sell marijuana at the specified location, with the contact number matching that provided by Muslim to the police.

According to the witness, Muslim approached Pierce while he was engaged in conversation with another individual before brandishing a handgun and firing two shots. “Offender #1” then seized the marijuana and made a swift exit from the scene.

As the investigation unfolds, the community mourns the loss of Sabrie Pierce and seeks justice for the senseless act of violence that claimed his life.
