Tragedy Strikes: 3-Year-Old Malaysian Boy Crushed by Falling Coconut Tree
Disaster can strike unexpectedly, leaving loved ones in grief. Such was the case for a family in Maran, Pahang, when a giant coconut tree fell on their 3-year-old son, resulting in a tragic loss.
The Incident
Last Saturday, Wan Muhammad Harith Syauqi Wan Hazizi was collecting dry branches with his father outside their home in Felda Jengka 6 when the coconut tree collapsed on him, as reported by Sinar Harian.
His mother, Saliah Mohd Noor, witnessed the horrific event, hearing the tree crack before it fell on her youngest child. Despite their efforts, Wan Muhammad was found unconscious and covered in blood.
“Before that, I heard a ‘crack’ sound three times before the coconut tree fell on my youngest child. It all happened right before my eyes and I couldn’t do anything.”
The toddler was rushed to Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Hospital but was pronounced dead the following day.
Saliah Mohd Noor expressed acceptance of her son’s passing as a test from God. Wan Muhammad was laid to rest at the Felda Jengka 6 cemetery.
