A tragic incident unfolded in Musa Khan village in Sargodha, where a married woman fell victim to a heinous crime in the name of “honour”. The perpetrator of this vile act was none other than her own brother, Muhammad Khan, aged 34. Suspecting his 19-year-old sister’s character, he took matters into his own hands on Sunday, leading to a devastating outcome. The motive behind this brutal act stemmed from complaints lodged by the woman’s husband regarding her character, which ultimately led to her untimely demise at the hands of her own flesh and blood.

Old Enmity Leads to Tragic Loss of Lives

In a separate series of events, two individuals met with a tragic fate due to an old enmity that reared its ugly head once again. The first victim, 22-year-old Bilal, succumbed to injuries inflicted by his rival Akram Dogar in a shooting incident in Mohallah Hasanpura, Jaranwala Road. Despite being rushed to the hospital, Bilal could not survive the ordeal. Similarly, another couple, Anwar and Ayesha Bibi, fell prey to the wrath of their adversaries at Chak No.436-GB. Anwar lost his life, while Ayesha Bibi remains in critical condition. The incidents have been reported, and cases have been registered by the authorities at Madina Town and Satiana police stations.

Arrest of Dacoits After Intense Encounter

A swift and decisive action by the police led to the arrest of two dacoits following a tense encounter in the jurisdiction of Chak Jhumra police station. The incident unfolded when the Dolphin Force attempted to intercept two suspect motorcycles carrying a total of four individuals near Paharang Bridge. Despite being signaled to stop, the suspects chose to flee, prompting a pursuit by the law enforcement officers. The chase culminated in an exchange of gunfire near Chak No.157-RB Ganna Gojra, resulting in two of the outlaws sustaining gunshot wounds and being apprehended. The injured culprits were identified as Abbas Mukhtar from Malikpur and Waqar Matloob from Chak No.6-JB. Abbas was wanted in connection with 15 cases, while Waqar had a history of involvement in 19 cases related to dacoity, robbery, and theft. The police seized two pistols, Rs93,000 in cash, and a motorcycle as part of the investigation into the matter.
