The Hunt for a Murder Suspect in Washington D.C.
The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) in Washington D.C. is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a suspect linked to a fatal shooting that took place on May 29 on the unit block of Hanover Place, NW.
MPD reports indicate that officers were called to the scene following reports of gunshots. Upon arrival, they discovered a man lying on the road with gunshot wounds. Tragically, the victim, identified as 34-year-old Maurice Downing, succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Surveillance footage captured the suspect at the scene, prompting MPD to seek the public’s help in identifying the individual.
