A tragic incident occurred in District Heights, Maryland, resulting in the death of a 14-year-old girl and injuries to two other adults. The teen, identified as Khamya Ferrell from Suitland, was a victim of a triple shooting that has left the community in shock.
Police Appeal for Information
Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding the shooting to come forward and assist in the investigation. The Prince George’s County Police Department is offering a cash reward of up to £25,000 for any details that lead to an arrest and indictment in the case.
Details of the Incident
The shooting took place on May 31, just before 2 p.m., on Atwood Street. Upon responding to the incident, officers discovered Ferrell and a woman shot inside an apartment, while a man was found outside with gunshot wounds. All three victims were promptly transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Tragically, despite medical efforts, Ferrell succumbed to her injuries on June 5, marking a devastating loss for her family and the local community.

Police detectives are actively working to identify a suspect and determine the motive behind the triple shooting. Initial findings suggest that Ferrell was not intentionally targeted in the attack, adding to the mystery surrounding the incident.
