Accident – Death – Obituary News : Three individuals, including a juvenile, have been apprehended by police officials in Bihar in connection with the murder of a 25-year-old labourer. The incident took place in Ludhiana, where the victim, identified as Vikas Kumar, was found dead in a vacant plot in Barewal village on June 4.
The arrested suspects have been named as Sooraj Kumar, aged 25, Manoj Sahni, aged 23, and a juvenile, all from Barewal village. According to Sarabha Nagar station-house officer (SHO) inspector Paramvir Singh, the juvenile was the alleged mastermind behind the brutal murder. The motive behind the crime, as per police investigations, stemmed from a love triangle involving the victim, the juvenile, and a girl from the village.
It was revealed that both the juvenile and the deceased had feelings for the same girl, leading to jealousy and resentment. In a bid to eliminate his romantic rival, the juvenile devised a plan to eliminate Vikas, enlisting the help of his two friends in carrying out the heinous act.
Following the murder, the accused fled the state, prompting a widespread search operation spanning various states including Delhi, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Bihar, and Uttar Pradesh. Despite their attempts to evade capture by frequently changing locations, the police managed to track them down in Samastipur, Bihar.
Inspector Paramvir Singh disclosed that the accused trio resided in rented accommodations in the city, with no fixed address or known hometowns. The police were able to recover a bike from their possession, believed to have been used as a getaway vehicle after the murder.
Describing the sequence of events leading to the murder, the SHO stated that the accused lured Vikas to a party on Tuesday night, where they reportedly intoxicated him before taking him to a secluded plot where they brutally killed him. Prior to his death, Vikas was allegedly threatened by the accused to stay away from the girl, a warning he defiantly disregarded.
The arrest of the suspects has brought some closure to the tragic case, shedding light on the dark motives behind the senseless act of violence. Authorities continue to investigate the matter further to ensure that justice is served for the victim and his grieving loved ones..
