ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – Authorities in Niagara County have apprehended a 26-year-old man from Gasport for driving under the influence and causing a collision with a Lockport residence. The incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday when the man’s SUV overturned and struck a utility pole on Ridge Road near Lockport Town Line Road.

identified as Timothy Outten, the driver attempted to flee on foot following the crash. Mobile personnel and members of the NCSO Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Team were deployed to locate him. Outten was found a short distance away and subsequently taken to Erie County Medical Center for assessment. Fortunately, the homeowner inside the house at the time of the incident remained unharmed.

Upon the discovery of the accident, the town of Lockport building inspector was summoned to assess the structural integrity of the property. Outten was charged with leaving the scene of the crash and was later released at ECMC on appearance tickets. He was issued multiple universal traffic tickets and is scheduled to appear in court in Lockport at a later date.
