Accident – Death – Obituary News : Following the interrogation of Siyam Hussain, a suspect in the murder case of Bangladesh MP Anwarul Azim Anar in Kolkata, the police have made a significant discovery. On Sunday, authorities recovered what they believe to be skeletal bones belonging to the slain MP from the Kashipur area.

Hussain, who was apprehended in Nepal on Monday and subsequently extradited on Friday, provided crucial information to the investigators. It was during questioning on Saturday at the flat where Anar was murdered that Hussain revealed details leading to the recovery of the remains.

The primary suspect in the case is identified as Akhtaruzzaman, a business partner of Anar who holds a US passport. According to CID sources, Akhtaruzzaman orchestrated the murder with the assistance of local accomplices before fleeing to the US via Kathmandu, Nepal.

The 56-year-old MP of Bangladesh’s ruling Awami League met a gruesome end, with his body dismembered into approximately 80 pieces in an attempt to conceal the crime. Anar, who had traveled to Kolkata for medical treatment on May 12, went missing on May 17, prompting a complaint from his acquaintance on May 18. The murder took place in a luxurious flat in the New Town area near Kolkata, where a butcher, the first suspect arrested in the case, allegedly dismembered the body and disposed of the parts at various locations.

Investigators suspect that a dispute between Anar and Akhtaruzzaman over gold smuggling may have been the motive behind the murder. Initial findings suggest that Anar may have been lured into a trap by a Bangladeshi model named Silasti Rahman, who is believed to have connections with the perpetrators.

Rahman, a resident of Bangladesh’s Khulna district, reportedly played a key role in the murder and fled back to her country with another suspect, Amanullah Khan. Authorities have since detained Rahman, bringing her back to face justice in Bangladesh.

Anar had been staying at the residence of his acquaintance Gopal Biswas upon his arrival in Kolkata. Biswas recounted that Anar left his Baranagar home on the afternoon of May 13 for a doctor’s appointment, assuring his return for dinner. However, Anar went missing on May 17, leaving Biswas concerned about his whereabouts.

The investigation into the brutal murder of MP Anwarul Azim Anar continues, with authorities piecing together the events leading to his untimely demise. With key suspects in custody and new evidence coming to light, the case is expected to shed light on the tragic fate of the prominent politician..
