DEKALB COUNTY, Ind. (WPTA) – The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office has reported that a minor injury was sustained in a crash that occurred overnight in DeKalb County.
According to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office, they received a report overnight regarding a collision between a truck and a tractor at the 7000 Block of State Road 1.
Upon arrival at the scene, authorities found that a truck had collided with a piece of farming equipment being towed by a tractor.
The driver of the truck, identified as 66-year-old Phuoc Huu Ngo from Fort Wayne, claimed that he did not see the farming equipment until it was too late.
An investigation revealed that the farming equipment involved in the crash did not have proper lighting installed.
As a result of the incident, Ngo was taken to a local hospital for treatment of neck pain.
Assisting the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office at the scene were the Spencerville Volunteer Fire Dept, Parkview EMS, and DeKalb County Central Communications.
