The suspect, a minor whose identity has been withheld, is believed to have attacked and killed his mother, Nelis Ogutu, in a brutal manner. Reports indicate that the young student strangled his mother to death before hacking her lifeless body with a machete. Moses Sirawa, the Assistant Chief of Kayanja Sub Location, confirmed the incident and expressed deep concern over the tragic event. The young student, who is in form four, reportedly arrived home from school on Thursday evening and carried out the attack shortly after the evening meal. Neighbours were alerted by the commotion at the deceased’s home and rushed to the scene, where they discovered Nelis Ogutu’s lifeless body on the ground.
