Woman Arrested for Killing Husband in Kota, Rajasthan
The police in Kota, Rajasthan, have arrested a woman in connection with the murder of her 35-year-old husband. The incident took place in a village under the jurisdiction of Dablana police station in Bundi district. The woman, identified as Mamta, allegedly confessed to the crime and revealed that she was involved in an extramarital affair with another man from a nearby village.
The victim, Rajendra Gurjar, was found dead in his home with fatal injuries caused by a sharp weapon. According to Circle Inspector Manoj Sikarwal, Mamta staged the crime scene to make it look like a robbery and murder. She removed the victim’s golden earrings and scattered household items in the room to create the impression of a burglary gone wrong.
Initially, the police had registered a case of murder against unknown individuals and conducted a postmortem examination before starting their investigation. Deputy Superintendent of Police Ghanshyam Meena stated that Mamta became the prime suspect after further scrutiny. During interrogation, she admitted to the crime and revealed the motive behind the murder.
Investigations revealed that Mamta’s extramarital relationship was the cause of frequent disputes between her and her husband. The affair with a man from a nearby village led to escalating tensions and ultimately resulted in the tragic incident.
