BRIDGEPORT, CT (WFSB) – A man has been arrested after a disturbing incident where two women were attacked with a sharp weapon in Bridgeport on Sunday morning.
According to police reports, the incident occurred around 4:50 A.M. when officers were called to an area hospital following reports of a 47-year-old woman who had sustained lacerations on her neck. Shortly after, a second victim, a 33-year-old female, arrived at the hospital with a similar injury.
Both victims, one of whom was in a relationship with the suspect, were assaulted in the vicinity of Knowlton Street by a male assailant armed with a sharp-edged weapon. The suspect fled the scene after the attack.
Fortunately, both victims are currently in stable condition and receiving medical treatment.
Suspect identified and Arrested
The suspect, identified as 38-year-old Keenan Corley, has been taken into custody by law enforcement officials. Corley is facing charges of two counts of criminal attempted murder and two counts of 1st degree assault in connection with the violent incident.
