Two men tragically lost their lives while two others sustained injuries in a devastating gun attack that took place at a bar in Dover district, St Mary on Friday night.

The deceased individuals have been identified as 40-year-old Damion Melvin, hailing from Windsor Castle, Portland, and 34-year-old Leroy Morand, a resident of Dover.

According to reports, the incident occurred around 7:10 p.m. as Melvin, Morand, and two other men were standing outside the bar when they were approached by two armed individuals.

Without warning, the gunmen opened fire, causing serious injuries to all four men before fleeing the scene. The police were immediately notified and arrived at the scene to find the victims suffering from gunshot wounds.

They were swiftly transported to the hospital, where unfortunately, Melvin and Morand succumbed to their injuries. One of the injured men was admitted for further treatment, while the fourth individual received medical attention and was subsequently discharged.

The Annotto Bay police are appealing to anyone who may have information regarding the incident to come forward and assist with the investigation.
