Charnavia Criswell, a 31-year-old individual, is currently being held at the Columbia County Detention Center in Lake City, Florida, awaiting bond.
On the morning of June 8, officers from the Lake City Police Department received a distress call at the intersection of South Marion Ave. and SW Crescent St. in Lake City. Upon arrival, law enforcement officials discovered a person with severe injuries to their head and body.
According to witnesses at the scene, the victim had been engaged in a heated argument with a driver, who subsequently struck the victim with their vehicle as they attempted to walk away from the altercation.
Criswell, who was identified as the driver involved in the incident, fled the scene but was later apprehended by the Lake City Police Department. She has since been charged with Attempted Homicide in connection with the violent encounter.
