Accident – Death – Obituary News : Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) – A trial date has been scheduled for a man accused of driving a vehicle involved in a Rochester drive-by shooting earlier this year.

The incident took place on the morning of March 30, when Rochester Police responded to reports of gunfire in the area of 41st St. and East Frontage Rd. Northwest. Upon arrival, officers discovered multiple spent shell casings at the scene, according to the criminal complaint.

The victim recounted that they were stopped behind a vehicle on southbound East Frontage Rd. and 41st St. The vehicle in front suddenly made a U-turn, and an occupant fired multiple gunshots at the victim’s vehicle. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

The criminal complaint revealed that Sims admitted to firing the gun, claiming that the shots were intended as “warning shots.”
