The incident took place around 9:09 a.m. in a parking garage located in the 200 block of Tingey St. in Southeast Washington, D.C. The suspect reportedly assaulted the victim before taking the victim’s car keys and fleeing the scene in the stolen vehicle.

Shortly after the carjacking, officers from the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) located the suspect and the stolen car in Northeast D.C. The suspect, identified as 28-year-old Raymond Davese of Northeast D.C., was arrested by the authorities.
