Large Brawl Erupts at Fuma Dubai in Beaumont, Texas

BEAUMONT, Texas — Beaumont Police took multiple individuals into custody following a chaotic altercation that unfolded late on Saturday night at Fuma Dubai, located at 4438 Dowlen Road.

On the night of June 8, Beaumont Police officers rushed to the scene in response to a distress call from Beaumont Independent School District officers who were present at Fuma Dubai. The BISD officers had reported a “large altercation involving several armed suspects.”

Reports indicate that the situation had escalated to the point where one individual attempted to wrestle a firearm away from a BISD officer. Despite attempts to control the situation with pepper spray, the conflict continued to escalate.

Upon the arrival of Beaumont Police officers, attention was drawn to a group of suspects congregated around a vehicle. When officers moved in to apprehend the individual who had tried to seize the BISD officer’s weapon, he responded by launching a barrage of kicks and punches.

After a fierce struggle, the assailant was eventually subdued and identified as 23-year-old Keadrain Corbin from Beaumont. Corbin now faces charges of attempting to disarm a police officer, assaulting a police officer, and resisting arrest.

In addition to Corbin, 26-year-old Jonah Mitchel from Beaumont and 18-year-old Kito Simpson from Port Arthur were also taken into custody for unlawfully carrying a firearm.

The BPD officer who bore the brunt of the attack was promptly transported to a local hospital for medical attention. Fortunately, they were treated and discharged after a few hours.

The investigation into the incident is currently ongoing, with authorities working diligently to gather more information.
