Accident – Death – Obituary News :

PHOENIX — Tragedy struck on Saturday morning as a small aircraft crashed near the summit of Picacho Peak, claiming the life of the pilot. The Pinal County Sheriff’s Office received a distressing 911 call at 7:25 a.m. from a hiker who witnessed the fatal crash.

The sole occupant of the aircraft was identified as 68-year-old James Galvin from Oro Valley. Sadly, Galvin did not survive the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene. The circumstances leading to the crash remain under investigation.

Investigation and Authorities

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and the Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) will be taking over the investigation into the crash. These federal agencies will work diligently to determine the cause of the tragic incident and prevent similar accidents in the future.
