Chester authorities have reported that a 16-year-old boy has been taken into custody in connection with a fatal shooting incident. Officer Frank Myers apprehended the juvenile on May 31 within the city limits. The young suspect has been formally charged with murder and other related offences. Following his arrest, he was transferred to the Abraxas Youth Center located in South Mountain, Pennsylvania, a rural area situated approximately half an hour west of Gettysburg.
The tragic incident unfolded on February 17, 2023, when Chester police officers responded to a distress call in the first block of East 17th Street. Upon arrival, law enforcement officials discovered the lifeless body of the victim, identified as Eriq Morrison, who succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the crime.
Expressing his gratitude for the swift action taken by Officer Myers and the U.S Marshals Fugitive Task Force, Police Commissioner Steven Gretsky stated, “I commend the dedication and diligence exhibited by Officer Myers and his colleagues in locating and apprehending the juvenile male suspect.”
