A tragic incident unfolded in Mumbai on Friday evening as a lady dentist lost her life in a heartbreaking road accident in the Sion area. Dr. Meghali, a respected member of the community, was waiting inside the compound of her dispensary for an Ola cab when a devastating turn of events occurred.
The accident took place near Shanmukhanandan Hall at King’s Circle, where an Omni van carrying famous Guru Kripa’s samosas accidentally collided with the gate of the compound. The impact caused the gate to fall on Dr. Meghali, leading to severe injuries. She was immediately rushed to Sion Hospital, but tragically succumbed to her injuries.
Dr. Meghali was accompanied by her sister, Subra, at the time of the incident. They were waiting for an Uber car within the confines of the Rugmalaya compound when the Omni van driver lost control of the vehicle. The driver, identified as Suresh Harisingh Bogti, 32, has been arrested by the Sion police under IPC 304 for causing death due to negligence and rash driving.
According to reports, the driver mentioned that he was transporting the famous samosas from Guru Kripa Hotel at the time of the accident. The shocking turn of events has left the community in mourning as they remember Dr. Meghali for her dedication to her profession and her warm presence.
