SANTA ROSA BEACH — Walton County beaches and waters have reopened to the public following two shark attacks that occurred on Friday afternoon.

Corey Dobridnia, the public information officer for the Walton County Sheriff\’s Office, stated that the South Walton Fire District has changed the beach flags from double-red to single-red and purple, indicating hazardous water conditions and possible dangerous marine life.

Dobridnia emphasized the importance of being vigilant while in the water, as Walton County Sheriff\’s Office and Florida Fish and Wildlife will be monitoring the shoreline.
