Chendric Jawan Brown : “Triple shooting suspect wanted, 2 charged”

The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department, in collaboration with U.S. Marshals, apprehended a man and a woman on Thursday afternoon in connection with a deadly shooting that occurred nearly two years ago. Authorities are currently seeking one additional suspect.

Chendric Jawan Brown, aged 25, faces charges of murder and conspiracy, as outlined in the arrest warrants. London Ja’Kia Oliver, aged 26, is charged with conspiracy and accessory before the fact. Meanwhile, 24-year-old Ziyon Ta’hib McKnight is wanted for murder and conspiracy, according to the warrants.

“In September 2022, investigators received a report from the South Congaree Police Department regarding a vehicle on Edmund Highway with two passengers who appeared to have sustained gunshot wounds,” stated Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon. “One of the passengers was taken to a local hospital, treated for injuries, and subsequently discharged.”

Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher confirmed that 22-year-old Harold Lord Peak III succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds.

Chendric Jawan Brown and London Ja’Kia Oliver have been arrested in connection to a 2022 deadly shooting.

During the course of the investigation, detectives determined that Oliver orchestrated Brown and McKnight to the victims’ location, where they awaited the victims’ departure and subsequently shot them as they passed by, Sheriff Koon explained.

Brown and Oliver were apprehended on Thursday afternoon and are currently detained at the Lexington County Detention Center following a denial of bond by a magistrate judge.

Ziyon Ta’hib McKnight is wanted for murder and conspiracy.
