A 36-year-old man has been identified as the victim of a shooting in Salisbury on Friday, which is now being treated as a homicide by the Sheriff’s Department.

At around 12:30 p.m. on Friday, deputies from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Department were called to the 900 Block of Mineola Avenue following reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they found the victim, 36-year-old Brookes Lamar Dashiell, seated in the driver’s seat of his vehicle.
The victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was rushed to the emergency room at TidalHealth, where he sadly passed away due to his injuries. The Criminal Investigation Division has taken over the case and is conducting a thorough investigation.
