MELBOURNE, Fla. – A tragic incident occurred in Melbourne early Saturday morning as a motorcyclist lost their life in a collision involving a Tesla, according to local authorities.

Law enforcement officials were called to the intersection of West Nasa Boulevard and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard in response to the crash, where they discovered the devastating aftermath.

The motorcyclist, identified as 34-year-old Benjamin James Fish Jr, suffered severe injuries as a result of the collision. Despite efforts to save their life, the individual was pronounced dead at the scene.

Initial investigations into the incident indicate that the motorcyclist was travelling eastbound on West Nasa Boulevard while the Tesla driver was heading westbound on the same road, attempting to make a turn onto MLK Jr. Boulevard.
