A father in Cleveland, Ohio, is facing charges after allegedly leaving his 10-month-old child unattended in a car while he was inside a casino.
According to Cleveland Police Sgt. Wilfredo Diaz, officers discovered the infant in a parking garage, with reports stating that the child had been left alone for over an hour and a half.
The father was reportedly inside the JACK casino in Cleveland at the time of the incident, as reported by local news outlet WOIO.
Authorities took the child to the hospital for a precautionary check-up, as per WHIO. Fortunately, the infant did not sustain any injuries and was later reunited with her family.
The 27-year-old father, whose identity has not been disclosed, was arrested by officers on charges of child endangerment and permitting child abuse. He is yet to face formal charges in court, as stated by WOIO.
The circumstances surrounding how the child was discovered by authorities remain unclear.
