Maurice Downing : “Washington Shooting Suspect Caught on Camera”

WASHINGTON DC — Authorities are appealing to the local community for assistance in identifying a suspect involved in the tragic fatal shooting of a man in the Northwest area of Washington DC. The incident took place in the early hours of last Wednesday at approximately 12:04 a.m., prompting a swift response from officers of the DC Metro Police Department who were summoned to the scene on the Hanover Place unit block following reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, law enforcement discovered a man with a gunshot wound lying on the road. Despite the efforts of emergency responders, the victim, identified as 34-year-old Maurice Downing, a resident of Northwest, DC, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The suspect, who remains at large, was captured on surveillance footage, which has been made public by the authorities in the hope of generating leads and information that could lead to their identification and apprehension.
