DALLAS, Ga. — Authorities are actively seeking two individuals in connection with a shooting incident that left a man critically injured at a Paulding County apartment complex earlier this month.

The incident took place on June 1 at approximately 10:45 p.m. when officers from the Dallas Police Department responded to reports of a shooting at the 300 block of Old Acworth Road. Upon arrival, officers discovered a 33-year-old man and a 31-year-old man lying on the ground inside an apartment, both suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Quick thinking officers applied tourniquets to stem the bleeding before the victims were transported to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital for treatment.

The suspects in the case have been identified as 24-year-old Jonathan Fontanez and 28-year-old Shamuel Machado. Both individuals are facing charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

While the 33-year-old victim remains in critical condition, the 31-year-old victim is currently listed as stable.
