Accident – Death – Obituary News : Delaware State Police have apprehended Jasmine Thomas, a 31-year-old resident of Bridgeville, Delaware, on serious drug charges following a traffic stop in Seaford on Thursday afternoon.
The arrest took place on June 6, 2024, at around 1:00 p.m., when officers from the Sussex County Governor’s Task Force, in collaboration with Delaware Probation and Parole officers, noticed a white Oldsmobile Silhouette travelling westbound on Concord Road. A check of the Oldsmobile’s Delaware registration revealed that the tag had been suspended due to lack of insurance. Troopers pulled the vehicle over and approached the four occupants, one of whom was later identified as Jasmine Thomas. Following the discovery of empty bags believed to have contained heroin, a search was conducted, leading to the discovery of a significant amount of illegal substances and cash in Thomas’ possession.
The search yielded approximately 4.26 grams of crack cocaine, 4.28 grams of cocaine, 85 bags containing around 0.595 grams of heroin, and $2,966 in suspected drug proceeds. Thomas was taken into custody without any resistance and was later transported to Troop 5. There, she was formally charged with multiple crimes, including Possession with Intent to Deliver a Counterfeit or Controlled Substance (Felony) – 3 counts, and Possession of a Controlled or Counterfeit Substance without a Prescription – 3 counts. Following arraignment by Justice of the Peace Court 2, she was released on her own recognizance.
