CHICAGO (CBS) — In a shocking turn of events, a 30-year-old woman, Jacinda McDaniel, has been charged with attempted first-degree murder after allegedly hitting another woman with a car during an argument in the South Austin neighborhood of Chicago back in March.

The incident took place on March 22 at around 9:12 a.m. in the 700 block of North Leamington Avenue. McDaniel was identified as the suspect who got into a car and struck the 34-year-old victim before fleeing the scene. The victim was rushed to Stroger Hospital in critical condition with undisclosed injuries.
