In a tragic incident in Noida, a 22-year-old man lost his life while another person sustained injuries after the wall of an under-construction house collapsed on them. The unfortunate incident took place in Chotpur Colony near Yadram Market in Sector 63 Police Station area due to strong winds.
The victims, identified as Hariom (22) and Santosh (52), both hailing from Bareilly district, were caught under the debris and immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for medical attention. Despite the best efforts of medical personnel, Hariom succumbed to his injuries while Santosh continues to receive treatment.
Local authorities have initiated legal proceedings in the case to determine the cause of the wall collapse and ensure accountability for the tragic outcome.
Similar Incident in Mumbai’s Mahim Area
In a separate incident in Mumbai’s Mahim area, a 25-year-old woman tragically lost her life when a large slab of the first floor of a building collapsed on her. The incident occurred on Wednesday evening, with the slab from a ground plus one upper-floored building falling on the woman. Another woman was also injured in the incident.
Upon receiving the distressing news, authorities swiftly responded to the scene to conduct a rescue operation. During the process of removing debris from the first floor, a worker became trapped under the slab portion, as confirmed by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). The incident was reported at 5:31 pm, and rescue efforts are currently ongoing.
