In a disturbing turn of events, a Rome woman has been taken into custody following a domestic altercation that resulted in a stabbing incident. The Rome Police Department responded to a call in the 1300 block of Floyd Avenue at around 4 pm on Thursday, June 6. Upon arrival at the scene, officers encountered a male victim who had sustained a puncture wound.

The victim recounted the harrowing experience, alleging that the suspect responsible for the attack was identified as 24-year-old Emily Ulrick of Rome. It is reported that Ulrick allegedly stabbed the victim, causing a puncture wound to his upper arm. Fortunately, the victim’s injuries are said to be non-life threatening.

Subsequently, Emily Ulrick was apprehended by law enforcement officers and taken to the Rome Police Department for processing. Following the necessary procedures, she was then transferred to the Oneida County Jail where she awaits arraignment. Ulrick faces serious charges in connection with the incident, including second-degree Assault, classified as a Class B Violent Felony, and fourth-degree Criminal Possession of a Weapon, deemed a Class A Misdemeanor.
