HOUSTON – A 14-year-old has been apprehended in connection with the tragic shooting that took place at the Houston Farmers Market, as confirmed by the family of the victim, 36-year-old Damon Price, on Friday.
The incident, which occurred in the early hours of Thursday morning at the Houston Farmers Market on Airline Drive, has left the community in shock.
According to reports, the two suspects allegedly broke into a business located at the market and attempted to steal a golf cart parked near the exit. It was during this attempted theft that Price, an employee at the market, confronted the suspects.
Tragically, one of the suspects shot Price multiple times before fleeing the scene. Despite efforts to save him, Price succumbed to his injuries.
The suspects, described by police as two young Hispanic males wearing dark-colored hoodies, are currently on the run. Police have released surveillance footage of the suspects in the hope that members of the public may come forward with any information.

The arrest of the 14-year-old suspect brings some relief to Price’s family, who can now begin to seek justice for their loved one. However, the community remains on edge as the search for the second suspect continues.
